Origin
Mastic gum is the resin that seeps from incisions cut into the trunk of the mastic tree, hardening into tears. It is harvested by hand and the season is short.
The ground beneath the tree is cleared and dusted with white clay. The resin tears fall onto that surface.
Tears are graded by hand into large, medium and powder.
The resin becomes the raw material for paste, Turkish delight, coffee and salep.
Case and pallet configurations are prepared and released with full documentation.
